According to the IT minister, telecom companies in the country can facilitate citizens in acquiring mobile phones through leasing plans, thereby promoting the benefits of mobile broadband.
With the imminent launch of smartphone installment plans, the initiative aims to ensure that every individual in Pakistan has access to smartphones, contributing to economic growth and encouraging the use of e-commerce.

Application Process for the Smartphone for All Scheme: The GSMA Smartphone for All Scheme introduces a groundbreaking plan, allowing individuals to acquire smartphones valued from Rs10,000 to Rs100,000 through easy installment plans lasting from 3 to 12 months.
Citizens with valid ID cards, including students, professionals, and those with lower incomes, can benefit from this scheme. According to the proposed plan, Pakistanis can obtain smartphones with interest-free installments, requiring a minimum 20 percent down payment.
